Events hosted by the Kyneton Historical Society:
2005 - August 15 - celebrating VP Day - 60 years end of WW II with a concert and display at the Kyneton Town Hall in conjunction with the Kyneton RSL.
2005 - November 19 - 'Showcase Kyneton' at the Kyneton Agricultural Show with displays, publications etc.
2006 - February 12 - conducted a Re-Discovering Rural History at Coliban Farm, Lauriston, featuring a panel of Central Victoria's distinguished historians. These included: Peter Cuffley, James Lerk, Brian Rhule, Norm Darwin, Geoff Russell and Ken James
2006 March - to celebrate the Commonwealth Games the Macedon Ranges Shire produced via a grant and with assistance from the Kyneton Historical Society several banners depicting local sporting heroes that also achieved in their fields at a higher level. These will be on display at the Kyneton Museum, 67 Piper Street, Kyneton for the whole of March, with each historical society in the shire invited to showcase themselves to visitors. Each will have a glass display cabinet at the Museum and each society will adopt a theme for their exhibition. Kyneton has chosen the theme of "Connecting People and Place", with storyboards, maps and objects. 'Living History' will be on show at the Kyneton Museum from March until May 2006.
